I’ve already shared where SweetieGames started out; it’s a passion project of mine that originated back in 2022. Some of the oldest articles here are coming up to four years old. So how come I’m celebrating one year?

I had a long period of time where I left SweetieGames behind, but I couldn’t get it off my mind. I had to give it a shot again. I knew there was an audience for it, no matter what my university lecturer said when giving it a low grade. I would never know if I didn’t try, so back in March 2025 I decided to give it another chance. And for the majority of the weeks since, there have been 1-2 articles going live here on Wednesdays and Saturdays!

Over the past year, I’ve written a few really fun interview articles that I’m especially proud of. I love discussing the world of gaming with other passionate people and introducing readers to sides of the internet and gaming community that they may not have known about. I can’t wait to get started on more interview articles.

I’ve also been on the other side; becoming an interviewee and writing a piece for Luna’s Gaming Log! I was honoured to be featured alongside some incredible indie gaming writers and discuss my gaming habits from the last year. It was a great opportunity to reflect on how much I’ve changed, even in the space of a year.

I dipped my toes into creating video content on TikTok, which has been really fun but pretty time consuming! I’d love to devote some more of my time to creating content there. One of my first TikToks, explaining the story of SweetieGames, has racked up nearly 18k views and had some lovely, encouraging comments. Moments like this remind me of why I wanted to create content here in the first place. It just needs to find the right audience.

I’m very proud that I’ve managed to stick with writing for SweetieGames for one year now. I can’t wait to share even more gaming news, stories and more with you. I’m still hoping to share some more about me here; there have just been so many news stories coming out in the gaming community that I’ve been eager to write about. Stay tuned for some more personal essays, I can’t wait to write them.

Lastly, thank you all for stopping by and reading my articles. It’s been a blast to write them and do research into a wide range of gaming topics. I hope you’ll continue this journey with me!
